Shopify Integration with TrackOG
Shopify integration automatically records Shopify orders as conversions in TrackOG — no manual postback setup on every order.

How it works
Two mechanisms work together:
- Postback script — placed on Shopify's order confirmation page; captures click_id from the browser and fires a TrackOG postback
- Webhooks — Shopify sends order data to TrackOG when an order is placed (optional, for additional reliability)
Setup steps for the advertiser
Step 1: Add the postback script
Place TrackOG's postback script on the Shopify order status / thank-you page: Shopify Admin > Settings > Checkout > Additional Scripts
The script reads the click_id stored in the browser (from when the user clicked the tracking link) and fires a postback to TrackOG.
Step 2: Test
Place a test order using a TrackOG tracking link. Verify the conversion appears in Reports > Conversions with the correct affiliate.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: The advertiser sees orders in Shopify but not in TrackOG. Why? A: The postback script may not be on the order status page (not the cart or checkout page). Confirm placement and verify click_id is being stored from the tracking link click.
Q: Does this work with Shopify's headless storefront? A: Contact your TrackOG account manager for headless Shopify implementation guidance.
