Why Was a Conversion Cancelled?

The three auto-cancel rules
1. Cancel Conversions with Private Goal
When it fires: A postback arrives with a goal marked as Private in the offer settings. Why: Private goals are for internal tracking. If a conversion only matches a private goal, you don't want to pay the affiliate for it. To prevent: Don't use private goals for events affiliates should be paid for, or turn this setting off.
2. Cancel Conversion if Affiliate Access is Removed
When it fires: Affiliate's access is revoked, but a postback for that affiliate arrives after revocation. Why: Prevents paying affiliates for conversions after you remove them for quality issues. To prevent: If you revoke access by mistake, turn this setting off before the postback arrives.
3. Mark as Cancelled for Expired Campaigns
When it fires: Offer passes its end date but a postback still arrives. Why: Advertisers won't pay for post-campaign conversions. Auto-cancel keeps payouts accurate. To prevent: Extend the offer's end date before it expires if the advertiser extended their budget.
Other cancellation reasons
- Manual cancellation — a team member changed status to Cancelled
- Duplicate detection — same click_id fired twice
