How to Add Custom Fields in TrackOG

Custom fields let you add extra data fields to your affiliate and advertiser records — capturing information your business needs that isn't in the default form.

Where to find it

  • Affiliates > Custom Fields
  • Advertisers > Custom Fields

Creating a custom field

  1. Go to the relevant Custom Fields page
  2. Click Create Custom Field
  3. Enter:
FieldWhat to enter
LabelDisplay name e.g. "LinkedIn Profile", "Tax ID", "Payment Method"
Field TypeText, Number, Select, etc.
RequiredWhether the field must be filled when creating a record
  1. Save

The field now appears on every Create/Edit form for that record type.

  • Affiliates: LinkedIn URL, Skype ID, preferred payment method, bank details reference
  • Advertisers: Contract number, billing contact, invoice email, account manager name

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can custom field values appear in reports? A: Custom fields are for record management, not reporting dimensions. They appear on the affiliate/advertiser profile, not in performance reports.

Q: Can I make a custom field required? A: Yes — toggle Required when creating the field. It will be mandatory on the Create form.

Q: Can I delete a custom field? A: Yes — deleting a field removes it from all records. The data already entered will be lost.
